Michael Jackson
How does everyone feel about him? I personally hate the guy. How could he do that to Paul? How could he buy Beatles music? Why couldn't he let Paul? Ugh, I just hate him. I'm sorry for you fans, but what he did was wrong and immoral. I could see if Paul didn't want them, but I don't think I'm alone in saying that Paul deserves his and John's music. Afterall it was a Lennon/McCartney partnership. Then making Revolution a Nike Commercail. C'mon! Grr. He just gets me so angry.
I was talking to my mom about and, she agrees with me that it was wrong of MJ to do such a thing, but she also said it was their faults. They left money issues up to Brian, I mean it is, but it also isn't, they were young kids. You can't stick up for Michael Jackson in that way, I'm sorry. I just don't understand why he wouldn't let Paul have the rights to the music HE wrote?!?

Grr! Because of that my mom who is a HUGE Paul fan raised me to HATE Michael Jackson.
It just makes me angry that someone could do that, it's just not right. Michael is a crook and I hope he's forced to sell it because he needs the money! It serves him right!

I like Michael Jackson's music.....but I dislike him as a person.
Man, who would've thunk when he and Paul were all happy-go-lucky in the "Say Say Say" video that Jacko would turn around and stab Paul in the front!
I heard (don't think it's factual, but it's been thrown out there) that MJ just might end up selling his Lennon/McCartney collection and Paul's planning on buying it. But don't quote me on that.
I wish MJ would just give 'em to Paul..I mean, after all, they are his and John's songs..
*sighs* MJ's just nuts.

I can't stand Michael Jackson. I hate him and especially what he did to Paul. No one deserves the rights but Paul, and what MJ did was just crap.

I can't stand that he owns the Beatles songs. I can't believe he was friends with Paul and then turned around and did that to him. You'd think he'd know, since he's a musician too, how important owning the rights to your own songs is. It also makes me mad that he liscenses the songs for use in commercials. I'd hate to turn on the television and see a song I'd written being used to sell sneakers or whatever.
I just hope he ends up selling the songs back to Paul and Yoko. In my opinion, they should share the Lennon/McCartney catalog. Even though she didn't write them, Yoko should have a say in what happens to John's songs. The two of them had a connection and I think she's probably one of the few people who knows what John would have wanted.

I agree with you Cranberry, Paul and Yoko deserve them. Paul even said "Yeah it's buissness but it's also friendships, morals y'know"
Paul even went to Yoko for help on buying them. Right?
I was just curious, did she attempt help him?

Me and my mom were discussing this too. I know Wacko Jacko has rights to a lot of songs, but Yoko's hoarding some too, isn't she? I know she won't give the rights to Yesterday to Paul which kind of sucks, but I'm a little glad to know they're safe... Yoko won't let anything happen to anything she has, she's so overprotective. Does anyone know what other songs she has?

I thought it was that Paul wanted the credit on "Yesterday" changed to "McCartney/Lennon" and Yoko wasn't too happy about that. If you have the "Back In The U.S." album some of the songs are listed as "McCartney/Lennon." I dunno... the whole thing is pretty confusing.

Yeah, that was what Yoko was mad about... John and Paul had had an agreement that it would be Lennon/McCartney on all of their songs, but then Paul wanted to change some of them around... I don't know what ever came of it.
