Ahahaha, I know how that is. I actually haven't seen Help or Magical Mystery Tour yet because I can't get them without going on ebay or something and my mom won't let me order them because she says they suck. But the first time I saw Yellow Submarine, I was probably about five or six. I loved it and watched it over and over, but I was absolutley positivley TERRIFIED of the Glove. Oh man, I had nightmares about that. It's like, this disembodied hand with eyes that flies around and laughs scary-like and then makes a fist and CRUSHES THE BEATLES. As a six year old, it was like, the embodiment of all evil.

I just wanted to say did you know George was in the Rutles? He plays a reporter. He's only in the movie for like 30 seconds though. Its still awesome! ;D George is also an extra in Life Of Brien.

Oh yeah, I knew ^__^ I actually haven't been able to spot him in Life of Brian because I've only seen it once since I knew he was in it, and that was at the cinema, so I couldn't pause it and stuff. Haha. I loved him in the Rutles, though. I give him credit for being in it, because it was kind of one giant shot at the Beatles.

He actually loved the idea! Thats how Eric was able to get the music so close to the Beatles original stuff.
In Life of Brien he is in the scene where they are lining up the [people to crusify them. George is one of the prisinor who walks though. (I'm pretty sure of it.)

Well, actually Neil wrote the music, but I figured George must have had something to do with it. He and Eric were really good friends and stuff, I guess. Eric was in this one horrible movie called Nuns on the Run and George was like, a co-producer of it or something. It was really bad, though. XD

Really? I never heard of that. I knew George produced Life of Brien though.

AHHH, the RUTLES! Let me count the ways I love those guys, haha. "All You Need Is Cash" is so, so hilarious. I love Neil Innes' John impression: "I'd like to own a squadron of tanks" and then the shower-in. Such a brilliant film. All the songs are really great as well. "Cheese and Onions" is my favorite.

Oh, I love Cheese and Onions. A few weeks ago my family was at a mexican restaurant and my mom said, "I'm having to cheese and onion enchilada." I, of course, broke into "C-H-E-E-S-E A-N-D O-N-I-O-N-S AND ONIONS, CHEESE AND ONIONS!" ;D
Another one of my favorite from the movie is "Ouch!"
Oh, and "Please, Please Hold My Hand"

I really like the Rutles spoofing early Beatles - some of the later stuff gets a little corny, like Doubleback Alley. I'm a big fan of... uhm... Number One, With A Girl Like You, I Must Be In Love... Those kinds of them. They put out a second album as well, it's not as good, but I still like it a lot, it's got the song Rendezvous on it. I love that song.

Ouch is my favorite Rutles song. I love how they were getting hit on the head through the whole thing! It was genious.

I love how they were getting hit on the head, and they all kind of had a delayed 'ow' moment. Except Eric, who just sat there, grinning his bloody head off, and didn't even seem to notice that he just got hit. Haha he was so good at being Paul.

I totally agree about Eric Idle's Paul impersonation. It's really funny to watch all the performance scenes because Eric gets super facially expressive the way Paul does... moving his head all over the place. Yeh.. I can't really describe it well, but you probably know what I mean.

I understand perfectly. But I can't explain it in any way.

I just went on a bit of a downloading binge, as I tend to do, and tonight's theme was Beatles covers. Thanks to whoever, waaay up at the beginning of this thread, recommended Fiona Apple doing Across the Universe. It's awesome.
