I know what you mean... I cried for Yoko the other day myself.. I can't remember what set me off though. I just feel so awful for her all the time.

I have to admit I'm conflicted about Yoko. I know that she and John really did love each other, and it must have nearly killed her when he died, but some of the stuff she's done lately... with his memory... they're kind of icky. For example, the running shoes with his picture on the side. I just think - is that really necessary? But who am I to comment anyway - she knew him best. I forgot to mention 'Woman'. I try hard not to even listen to that song. It's heartbreaking - the lyrics, about him leaving... god. It's so sad.

Love usually doesn't get me like Real Love - especially the versions with just John

I remember the first time I heard Love. I always listen to music late at night, and I stuck a John CD in my Walkman. I hadn't listened to much of the CD yet, so I was flipping through the songs. When I came to Love, I didn't hear anything at first...then the piano started. I love that piano part. I listened to it six times, and then went and woke up my parents. I said, "Do you know that Lennon song, 'Love'?" They both said yes, and I said "It's the most gorgeous song I've ever heard," and went back to bed.

Crow, in your post that began this thread, you cited lyrics from "God".
You shared the portion of that song that ALWAYS gets me teary. I will never ever forget the morning I woke up after John was shot. I turned on the television, and the first image was the picture of him from the "White Album" (the 8x10) and as it faded to black, that verse was playing. "...the dream is over..."
I crumpled up in a ball and cried my eyes out. I still can't listen to it, it brings it all back.

A lot of his songs make me sad, but if I'm in the right mood, listening to anything by him makes me cry
