Today was so horrible, I was in the grocery store and In My Life came on, and while I was getting my brother some Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream I was crying hysterically, I don't know it just made me think of all the good times...ever...and I didn't want to. But that definitely touched my heart

Awwwww... poor Mindy!!
I just found another John song that makes me sad- 'Oh Yoko" - because of the lyric "in the middle of a cloud I call your name". Awwww.
And 'how'- that's just horrible. stuff that makes a lot of sense, you know?

It's harder when it does make sense, sometimes

Definitely In My Life, but not always, just when I'm in this "mood" anyway.

Yeah you definitely have to be in the mood, me and my mom were just cryng together over that song, again. Stand By Me makes me cry too, but not so much when John sings it, when I hear John sing it it makes me happy. But Ben. E. Kings version makes me cry lots.

I'm not a really a crying person, but there's one song that sparks a tear everytime and that's "In My Life" because of the darn video for it!! That video is so sad!

This sounds really really lame but I started crying over one on the bus the other day and now I can't remember what song it was.
I'll get back to you on that.

When I was about eight years old, the first time I heard "Love", I got goosebumps. Now whenever I hear it, I end up crying. Whenever I'm in my "I-hate-the-world" mood and I listen to Imagine, I cry...but on an everyday basis, I listen to it enough that I don't cry every time anymore. I was in JC Penney's one time when Beautiful Boy came on and I ended up having tears running down my face, while trying to concetrate on finding jeans. And I know there's more, but I have to go someplace...will post the rest later.

Wow this thread is making me think of all the John songs that are sad and making me sad. The ones that make me cry are Love, Imagine and Help Me to Help Myself. I love that song so much. It's so beautiful. In fact, all of John's songs on Double Fantasy make me sad. It just sucks so much that he's gone, you know? I get this horrible feeling in my stomach when I think about it. But there are two songs that do me in every time, and they're not John's but they're about him - Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) by Elton John and Here Today by Paul. When I first saw Paul performing it on the Back in the U.S. DVD I cried so much.

Empty Garden(Hey Hey Johnny) KILLS me to listen to. It's wonderful, but so, so painful.

Yeah, Help Me To Help Myself makes me sob... and Grow Old With Me, I'm not sure if I mentioned that one. Because Milk and Honey wasn't even released until after he died...

It just sucks so much that he's gone, you know? I get this horrible feeling in my stomach when I think about it. Oh my gosh, I know exactly what you mean. EXACTLY. I mean, a few weeks ago, I saw some photos of the Dakota building, and a few minutes earlier I had read a minute-by-minute description of how it had happened, and I just wanted to throw up. I cried instead.

When I forst heard Here Today I cried so hard, it didn't help I that I was in a crying kind of mood. But I was so sad about it, I cried for John in the car yesterday, I don't know why though. I just...started crying.
Well, I think I cried more for Yoko than for John. The way she gets treated by 'fans.' Ugh. But that's a different thread. So I guess I just cried for both of them...?
