Peggy had a restless night. She couldn’t sleep at all. All these mixed emotions got her brain working overdrive. It was like these last couple of days were like a dream. The Beatles…in her house. The Beatles…wanted to take her on a date. She had to pick one…She shook her head and got out of bed. It was good that tomorrow was Saturday, so that meant no work so she can sleep the whole day. As she was walking to the refrigerator to get some milk she said to herself: “I can’t choose one…if they want to go out with her, then they’ll be the ones to choose.” She drank her milk and got back in bed feeling a little less restless. She closed her eyes and waited for Mr. Sandman to come.
The next day Peggy woke up hearing the phone ring. She slipped out of bed and ran through the rooms. She grabbed the phone and almost yelled: “Peggy speaking!” She heard someone laughing on the other side. “Hi Peggy. It’s George speaking.” The voice said. Peggy felt her heart making a little jump. “Oh Hi George.” She said. “I just woke up.” “You just woke up?” George said. “It’s 2 am! We were up at 8 am. Hehe, anyway... We were wondering…. would you come over to the Apple office? We would like to know who you picked.” “Okay, but I’ll have to have some breakfast first.” She said. “Make that a lunch.” George said grinning. Peggy smiled, said goodbye to George and hung up the phone. For a while she just stood there. So it was all real. She was going to see the Beatles…. again. She ran back to the bedroom and made herself ready to go to the best looking guys in the world.

As she was on her way to the Apple office she thought about them. Though she couldn’t make up her own mind about the boys…she was curious whom they chose to go on a date with her. Paul was the most handsome…but he also knew that himself and took advantage of it by getting as much girls as he could. Peggy didn’t want to be just one of those girls. Then there was John. From the first minute she was overwhelmed by his sarcasm and he scared her a little. He was good looking, but she hoped they also knew she wasn’t the girl for a guy like John. Then George. He’s got such great eyebrows she thought. He didn’t say that much when he was at her place, but when she just talked to him on he phone…it felt good. Then her thoughts went over to Ringo. He was just a little bit taller than she was. If she would put her pumps on, she would even be taller than he was. But she didn’t care. Ringo seemed to be a very nice guy. Cute smile, great humour, and caring…almost anything she wanted in a man. She turned around the corner and saw the Apple office in the distance. She walked a little harder and stopped in front of the building. For a moment she didn’t want to go in, but then she just opened the door and walked in. A nice mid 40’s lady asked her to wait and after a call with whoever was on the other side she told Peggy to go up to the first floor and wait there in the canteen. Peggy did and after a minute or two, Mal came in an asked her to come. Peggy now felt more and more nervous. Mal opened the door for her and Peggy got in seeing the four guys sitting there around a huge wooden table.

“Hi Pegs!” John said. The others said hello as well. “Ciggy?” Paul asked her as he pulled one cigarette out of the box. She looked at him. “No thank you.” She said. “I don’t smoke.” Paul rolled his eyes and sat down next to her. “Why not?” he asked. “I know it’s addicting, but it makes you feel so good.” Peggy shrugged. “I know other things that can make me feel good.” She said looking. Paul widened his eyes and Ringo and George started to laugh. “Whoohoo she got you there Paulie.” George said. Paul moved back and forward on his seat and then whispered in Peggy’s ear: “I think we both know what you mean. And I’m the one who can give it to you. I can make you feel good.” And then he winked. She looked at him and smiled. “Dunno.” Peggy said. Now she knew how Paul get all the girls. She got up and walked to the window. “I kind of feel strange though. I feel like I’m a price or something…like a winning ticket in the lottery and one of you can have me.” Peggy said biting her lip. Ringo put his arm around her. “You don’t have to feel that way.” It will all be great. I hope you feel happy with our choice, coz I’m going to be that lucky guy.” He said smiling. Peggy turned around and looked from Ringo, to George, who was playing with a pencil and smiled. To Paul who smiled, but it didn’t seem to be a very friendly smile, to John and Mal who were in a conversation…not even interested in all this. Peggy smiled. Shook Ringo’s hand and told him she was very happy.
