So, Crow posted a link to Julian Lennon's website and there's a media section where you can listen to short clips of each song off of "Photograph Smile". The only stuff I had ever heard Julian do was the one hit he had back in the 80s and I was 3 when it came out. So...yeah, I'm getting off track here...lol. But anyways, just check the media section out and listen to his voice. He sounds so much like John that it gave me goose pimples... www.julianlennon.com/Water/music/index.html

Yeah. I haven't listened to that yet, but I got one of his CDs last week, Valotte. I haven't really listened to it yet, but I was in FYE, where you can listen to it before you buy it, so I was listening and I started freaking out and that's why I bought it. I got my mom to listen to it, and told her it wasn't John Lennon and she didn't believe me.
Once I listen to it more, I'll let you know if it's... uhm... good music. Hah.
Oh yeah and on the family tree page, I really liked this sentance: "Will we find blood ties to Hannah Lennon, sentenced to death in July 1836 for Burglary and Felony?" because my real first name is Hannah. It would have been amusing enough JUST to have the Lennon last name on my first name, but put to death for burglary and felony?! Score!

lol...that would be an honor, huh? And I know all about the FYE listening stations, hon....remember, I work at an FYE. ;D Valoette has "Too Late For Goodbyes" on it though....that was a jammin' hit in 1984.

Yunno, this is kind of disturbing but interesting as well: Julian turned 41 this year. That's older than John ever was.

Thanks for that link. I've never heard any of Julian's stuff. He does sound so much like John, it's amazing. I've always wondered how Julian dealt with John's death. I've heard clips of Sean talking about it, and even when he was really young, he seems to have took it remarkably well. I remember him saying that he was sad, but he wasn't going to kill himself over it. "It's not worth it," he said... he must have been like 7. I've never heard Julian talking about it at all though or read anything he's said about it.

I know, when I first figured it out, I nearly cried.
I feel bad for Julian for so many reasons.

On the John Lennon: Imagine documentary Yoko, Sean, Cynthia, and Julian all talk about his death. I cried when I heard Julian, Sean was just about 14 I guess, but Julian was in his 20's. It was so sad he said something like "It was really hard for me, because there was always this wall inbetween dad and me, but it got better y'know, it was at the point where I could just call him up say 'Hey dad can I come over' and then he would say 'sure' and then I'd go" I think thats almost exactly. But I cried so hard. It was so incredibly sad.
It was about 16 years ago when it was released in 1988.
Julian also look remarkably like his father. (sorry for my spelling)

I know, I always felt the worst for Julian, even more than for Sean. Because I always thought he must have been angry for a lot of stuff, like John not really being there when he was little. And then for him to die... It's just so sad.

Yeah, I think about that a lot. I wonder what his reaction to 'Beautiful Boy' was. I would have been so envious of Sean if I were Julian.

I know, I always thought that too. Sean got everything from John the Julian didn't, which is very sad. Though I think it is good that John finally realized he wasn't a very good parent, you know?

Yeah, I don't think he did it to mean harm. But by the time Sean was born Julian was almost, or even was a teen, so John, I think, saw it as "okay I screwed up the first time, so I'll do it right the second time" I dunno, thats my opinion.
