Okay guys, I hope you like this.



It was a cold day in Liverpool as 3 young lads left the celler club they had just performed in. They walked to the nearest bus stop and waited.
" John, do you think we'll ever get that big break we've all dreamed of?" asked the lad with the round, brown eyes.
John smiled" Of course Paulie, in good time. I'nt that right George?"
George who was standing there quietly, nodded with a smile.
The bus pulled up and the lads went to the top and sat in their regular seats. John looked over at Paul, he looked so innocent. Why Paul hadn't had a date in 2 months was confusing.
"Well, see you guys tomarrow." Paul said as the bus stopped. He got off and waved as the bus left with his friends on the deck. All he felt like doing was going to sleep.

The next morning he woke up to his dad calling him downstairs. He sleepily got up and headed downstairs.
" Your friend's on the phone." James said handing the phone to his son.
"hello?"
" 'ello Paulie!"
"What do you want?"
"We have to get to the Cavern early."
"okay, when?"
"George and I are going to be on the bus in 10 minutes."
Paul rubbed his eyes and yawned" Okay, Bye"
"Bye"
Paul hung the phone up, headed up stairs and got dressed. As he got back downstairs his dad gave him a coat and said good bye.

"So what is the reason we're here so early?" Paul asked setting up his bass.
"We're rehersing." George said walking over to his sleepy friend.
"Well, I think we have sometime seeing as we're here 3 hours before the actually let people in here." Paul said walking off the stage and back towards the little snack bar. He rang the little bell and waited.
"Be right there." came a voice from the store room.
A girl around his age soon came out and smiled. She was gorgus, why hadn't he noticed her before.
"Can I help you?" She asked
" Oh yeah, I'll just have a cup of tea and some toast."
" Okay, it will be ready in about 2 minutes and you don't have to pay, I like your music."
She smiled and stared making the tea and toast. Paul just stood there , starring at her.
John and George, who had gotten tired of waiting for their friend, headed over to see what was taking so long. When they found Paul, they sat at the nearest table.
"Can we have 2 more cups?" George yelled to the girl behind the counter.
"sure, coming right up."
Paul went and sat down with his friends when the tea arrived. Paul thanked her as she walked off. He watched as she made her own tea and toast,then waled over to a table where she sat alone. A light went off in Paul's head.
" I'll be right back," he said picking up his breakfast and walking towards the girl's table. John looked to see where Paul was heading then smiled.
"What?" George asked
"Paulie found a bird." John said grinning.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" Paul asked as the girl looked up.
"If you'd like to."
He did and looked at her.
"Hi, I'm Paul."
" I'm Lauren, it's nice to meet you."
"Yes, very nice."
Lauren blushed, why was this cute boy talking to her?
" So , you work behind the counter?"
Lauren nodded.
They talked about everything and before the knew it 2 hours had gone by.
"I'm sorry to break this up, but Paul has to reherse now." John said
" It was nice talking with you." Paul said as John draged him to the stage.

"You really should ask her on a date." George said
"Really?"
"Yes! Paul you haven't been on a date in 2 months!" John said
THey quickly ran through their songs and then went into the dressing room.........

Okay guys here's some more..

Paul couldn't stop thinking about her. He found a piece of paper and wrote a note, then folded it up. He got up and walked towards the door.
" Where y' goin'?" George asked from his seat by the window.
" Can't you tell? He's goin' out to get a date with his new birdie?" Came John's voice from the corner.
Paul slipped out to find the club had people in it. He looked at the counter to see Lauren was gone.
"Great," he thought to himself " I'll just set this on the counter and casually walk away."
He quicky put the note down and went back to the little room behind the stage.
"So d'you do it?" John asked, he was now sitting over by George.
"Yeah."
"And what she say?"
"Well, I don't know, I left her a note."
John and George shook their heads.
"Where'd we go wrong?" George asked jokingly.

After 20 minutes it was time for them to go out and play their normal lunch time session. As Paul walked up to his bass he saw a piece of paper slipped in his strings.
He opened it to find it saying " Of course, that sounds great! I'm honored to have you ask me."
A smile slipped over Paul's plush lips.
"Oooo, Paulie got a date!" John said to george they both started to mock cry and said " Our little lad is all grown up."
"Oh do shut up you two." Paul said. He looked to the back counter and winked at Lauren, who was leaning over it.
" Well, it looks like Pete's late again." George said looking at the empty drum set. At that moment Pete came running down the stairs.
"Sorry, the bus broke down."
"Just get behind the drums." John said turning towards the crowd.
Paul greeted the audiance and introduced the first song. It was "Red sails in the sunset", Lauren smiled. This was one of her favorites. She swayed to the tune, but she kept her eyes on the toaster, so as not to burn her costomer's order.

The show went off with out a hitch, but Paul was kind of sad that it was over.
" Paul, we have to go meet in the dressing room." George said
"Okay."
The two lads walked tgether to the little room they called their dressing room. It was there they found Brian Epstien. They all knew who he was, but what was he doing here?
"I'd like to sign you boys" he said
"Well, okay." John said
They all in turn signed. After they had gotten on the bus George asked "So this means we've got a manager?"
"Yep, all we need now is a record deal and we're set." John replied, his brown eyes sparkled. Paul really wasn't thinking about the fact he had a manager, his thoughts drefted to where he was going to take Lauren, he was poor and so was she, so where would they go? He smiled when the thought came to him, it was perfect!
Back at the cavern, while Paul prepared for the date, Lauren was cleanning off the tables with her dish rag.
"Did he really ask me out?" She thought to herself moving over a table. She had never felt this way. She thought of her first boyfriend and how he used to beat her, but she kept it secret. But Paul was just amazing! She finished up then put her cleaning supplies away. She couldn't believe it was 5 already. Lauren took off her apron and turned to find Paul standing on the other side of the counter.
"Hi," he said with a smile" are you ready?"
"Yeah," Lauren said walking over to him. "I just have to lock up."
"Sounds fine"
THe pair walked up the stairs, shut the door and locked it. They walked through the streets and as the got to a park Paul stoped Lauren and told her this is where the date was. It was a beautiful hill that over looked the harbor. Paul pulled out the food and set it down .
"Thanks" Lauren said smiling
They talked about their home lives and Paul told Lauren about his mom dying. They'd finished the food and were laying on their backs looking at the stars.
"They're beautiful." Lauren said with a sigh.
"Not as beautiful as you." Paul said taking her hand.
Lauren blushed "Thanks"

As they got on the next bus Paul took Lauren to his spot on top at teh back.
"My stop is coming up soon." Lauren said after 10 minutes.
Okay, I don't live that far so I'll walk you to the door.
He did as he said he would and at the door they said their good byes.
"Well, good night," Lauren said
"Good night," Paul said leaning over and kissing her.
Lauren watched as he walked off and then went in side. She brought her fingers to her lips then smiled.
Paul turned to look one last time at her house. He felt like he was walking on air........

Okay I thoguth of more.


As Paul lay in his bed that night his thoughts just seemed to drift. He was knew he had fallen in love. His round brown eyes shot open. "THat's it, 'falling in love again.' that would make a great song!" He hopped out of bed quickly grabbed his guitar and started writing down the words.

Lauren opened the cavern the next morning, she had disided to go earlier than she normally did. She thought she'd get everything ready incase Paul came early. But as she stood alone behind the counter after the work was finished she heard someone come down the stairs. She looked to see if it was Paul, but who she saw next made her heart drop. It was was her ex boyfriend Tom! he'd spotted her and came running at her pinning her to the wall.
"I heard you're dating again." he said through his teeth
" I am and I love him!" she said. This angered Tom and he began to beat her. Her cries for help fell to no one. Moments later she heard the lads' voices, but Tom was to busy hittin Lauren to notice. The lads noticed him and sneaking up behind him John hopped on his back Paul grabbed Lauren and set her aside, George helped John. The three of them began to do exactly what tom had been doing to Lauren.
Tom ran off he didn't stand a chance. Paul went over and set Lauren on 2 tables that George had put together. John brought some cold wash cloths and the lads began wipping Lauren's face and arms.
"Thanks" Lauren said weakly.
"Shh," Paul said softly " just lay there, we'll take care of you. John ran up and put a sign in the door reading: Closed for cleaning."
They took good care of her and when she was able to talk she anwserd their questions.
"So who was he?" Paul asked
" He was my first boyfriend."
" why on earth did you date him?" George asked
"He threatened my friend."
"Oh, well, Paul's your boyfriend now, He's a good lad."
"Yes, we traned him well."

Paul rolled his eyes.
"George that's our signal to go to the room."
The two of them walked off and Paul let Lauren lean against his chest. He ran his hands over her arm.
"I love you," he said into her hair.
"I love you too." She replied
The two of them just sat there, not wanting the other to leave.
Paul began to softly sing the song he wrote for her. The sound of his voice and his smooth touch on her arm told her she was safe with him......

More to the story.......

After 10 minutes John and George came out to find Lauren asleep and Paul playing with her hair.
"Paul, should we take her back to one of our houses'?" George asked looking at the sleeping girl.
"Yeah,let's take her back to my house."
"Okay. I'll get her stuff." John said running back and grabbing a purse. Paul picked Lauren up and carefully carried her up the stairs ith George holding the door open and john making sure it was locked.

Lauren woke up to find herself in a room she'd never seen before.
"Where am I?" She thought. Paul then came in with some tea.
"you're awake, good. Here drink this." He said handing her the cup.
After she had some she looked at Paul and asked " Where am I?"
" Oh, you're at my house," he said with a smile "We didn't think it would be good to just leave you at the club."
"We?"
"yeah," Paul said pointing to the door. She leaned over to see John and George standing in the doorway.
" Thank you all." She said taking another sip.
" Or you're welcome." George said smiling at her. He had a cute smile.
"So when do I need to be out of here?" Lauren asked looking around
"You can stay as long as you need or want to, me dad said it's okay." Paul said with a grin.
"Okay, tell him thank you."
"oh I will"
The four of them spend the next hour talking about everything from music to their childhood. The whole time Paul sat next to Lauren with her hand in his. He liked the feeling of it being there. And Lauren was honored to have these three guys notice her......

At dinner that night Paul introduced Lauren to his dad and brother.
" Paul told us about what happend." James said
" Yeah, I've known him alng time and I've never deeen that glow he gets when he talks about you." Micheal said with and evil grin. Both Lauren and Paul blushed.

Well, I don't usually like Beatles Romance stories, but this one is really cute AND it's a plus that the main character (or, main female character,) just happens to have my name ;D
