There are so many Beatles songs that are just so poorly written, lyrically and musically.. for example, "All Together Now", "Yellow Submarine", almost every Ringo song, even "Why Don't We Do it in the Road" isn't very impressive... but I can't seem to help myself but enjoy all of them. It's like.. they're so simplistic and lame it's funny and really enjoyable to listen to, or at least sing.
I hate the studio version of "Blackbird" with all those stupid bird noises in the backround. Annoys the hell out of me.

I actually really dislike studio Blackbird as well. It's a beautiful song, but I find it much easier to enjoy the anthology version without the distracting (and somewhat obnoxious) bird noises.
However, in the studio version, I always did really like the little sound coming out of the left channel, it's on the beat, sounds a little bit like a steady drop of water. I dunno. It relaxes me.

Bom ba bom sail the ship! Bom ba bom chop the tree! Bom ba bom skip the rope! Bom ba bom look at meeeeeeeee...... ;D I like All Together Now! I can't listen to it very often 'cause I get sick of it, but I do like it. I always sing that part at the top of my lungs. You know, more like "Look at MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!...." I personally love the song Here, There, Everywhere. Ever since I had a dream that George sang it to me, it's been a favorite XD. Don't ask WHY it was George who was singing it when it was Paul's song, and why I didn't clue in that it was a dream then...but I can't forget that image. ;D I don't like the lyrics to Run For Your Life very much (if it was about me, then maybe I'd think differently...), but I like the melody of the song, so I still listen to it. Yellow Submarine...I like the actual song, but I hate how predictable it is. Not the song itself, but how it's the one that everybody thinks of when Beatles are mentioned. It's like they're synonymous...and I bet that's the wrong word...but I bet you know what I mean. I agree with whoever said (I think it was Emma) that it doesn't even BEGIN to represent their awesomeness.

You know, more like "Look at MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!...." definitely, I so agree with you. Well, I agree with Sun King and Wild Honey Pie not being my favorites... they just never clicked with me... and I'm the only person in the whole world who isn't a huge fan of Get Back. *dodges tomatoes* I don't know. maybe I've heard it too much? but it is down there on my "still like, but not really" list.

I don't like it much anymore either, might have something to do with the fact that I learned it on keyboard over the summer and then... killed it.

it's alright, listening to it too many times makes it, well, die.
Yellow submarine makes me laugh. it's annoying how well you know the lyrics, even if it's like the first time you've heard it in ages. It's like...something genetic. you grow up just KNOWING the words to it.'
it has clever lyrics, they're just overused.

I love Yellow Submarine. I especially love towards the end when George is in the background repeating after Ringo and yelling. "In our yellow....submarine, haha!"

That's the loudest part I always sing, it cracks me up! "In our yellow (IN OUR YELLOW!) submarine. (SUBMARINE, AHA!)"
It makes me happy. I sometimes listen to it just for that part. XD
