I know!!
I'm gonna have to go and listen to that before bed now.
What else is really good?
Oh, does anyone else enjoy the version of "I'm Looking Through You"? I think I like it more than the final cut.

Oh yeah! I love that version of Looking Through You, I like the one that was on Rubber Soul, too, though.

I like the Morcambe and Wise thing on Anthology 1....always good for a laugh I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE the demo of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on Anthology 3. I don't actually have Anthology 3, but every time I go to a music store I listen to it ;D It sounds really good and haunting w/ just him and the guitar. Just hearing them talk on the different takes makes me smile. Especially when they're being silleh w/ each other..... ;D They rock my world

I know, I just love hearing them talk and have fun together...
I agree that there's something haunting about that version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. It's the same with the Anthology 3 version of Something, which is so different from the version on Abbey Road, but I love it because it's just George, and that's all, and it's so pretty.

I love both versions of Looking Through You Hm, does anyone know what album "You Know My Name" is on? I'd never heard it before I bought Anthology. Haha, I think it's one of my new favorite songs... it's so different. It's amazing how many different styles The Beatles can play... Hee, the song always cracks me up in the second half when Paul(?) starts singing in that high weird voice ;D

You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)? I don't believe that one made it onto a proper album, but I may be incorrect.

I believe you can find that version of it on Past Masters II. I don't have the third Anthology, sadly, so I've only heard the Past Masters version, although that one itself is pretty funny. I definitely want to hear the outtake... I bet it's even crazier.

*nods* Definitely invest in the Past Masters.. They're fabulous....and have German versions (well, of "She Loves" you and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand") They're worth the mula.

Yeah, I love the German versions. I took German in high school, so I have a special place in my heart for them. They're fun to sing along with.
And yes, Crow, the Past Masters discs are probably worth about a hundred times what you'll pay for them. There are some great tracks from George on there (The Inner Light and Old Brown Shoe) and lots more fun stuff.
