Okay, I found this on the george harrison borads, and i just thought it was totally adorable:
Most of you who have read Anthology will remember that George mentions his first girlfriend was Iris Caldwell, sister of Rory Storm. He also mentioned the fact that she used to supplement her natural assets with the aid of cotton wool inside her bra. He goes on to say that she probably didn't think of herself as his girlfriend because they were both so young.
Well I came across this quote from Iris Caldwell whilst reading a book on the rise of the music scene in Liverpool. She is talking about a music club called The Morgue started by her brother Rory which was only open for a few weeks before being closed as it was unsafe.
'The Morgue was under a nurses home around Oakhill Park. We had the cellar, which was all black and we painted it with skeletons and used ultra violet light which was so trendy at the time. We had The Beatles on there for 30 bob (£1.50) on a Saturday night, but George Harrison wasn;t with them then. George was my boyfriend: we were kids but we were seeing each other. You couldn't charge entrance money as we had no permit. Instead, they used to charge people for a bottle of coke or orange as they went in.
I was 13 and I desperately wanted to go. Rory did let me go one night. I was not well developed and so I got a lot of cotton wool and shoved it down my bra and thought I looked older and off I went. Just as big brothers do, Rory announced that there was Iris at the back, and she had got cotton wool down her bra, and that broke my heart. I ran out of there sobbing and George chased me right round Oakhill Park and gave me my first ever kiss when he caught me. The only thing between us was cotton wool.'
