cc _courteney 2005-04-20 02:47 (link) okay, i feel it necessary to respond because i tried to handle this nicely the first time. if you had read the original insult i got and my responses, i'd like to think that you three would not feel it necessary to tell me this. and if you have read and still feel it necessary, can i just say this:
none of us knows whose fault it is. we were not there. and no amount of research or reading or being a true or loyal fan will help us to know. The beatles themselves can't decide on an answer. it is my, and the others who responded positively to this post, prerogative to blame yoko. it is your prerogative not to blame yoko. to call me names and respond with sarcasm when i am just voicing the opinion of that and some others, i find that offensive.
and, excuse me, but who are you to say whether i can or cannot post in this community?
(thanks for the pity copliment at the end, though.) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) Re: cc zap_shazam 2005-04-20 22:06 (link) You know what? You're right. We weren't there. That's true. But guess who were... THE BEATLES. What are you talking about? "The beatles themselves can't decide on an answer." WTF? You've...read about the Beatles, right? You know who these guys are? The music...Yellow Submarine and all that? Many, many times it has been said by every one of the Beatles that Yoko only added to the tension caused by faulty relationship between the BAND MEMBERS, along with Linda McCartney, Allen Klein, Phil Spector, and any other person you want to blame because the Beatles don't seem to be the most obvious choice, even if it was their band.
Here, I'm going to make this simple with a sentence that people of your calibur might understand: If it's Yoko's fault, let's all blame Linda, too.
But we don't, do we? We blame Yoko.
(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) Re: cc _courteney 2005-04-21 01:34 (link) i said that the beatles couldn't make up their minds because i've read and seen countless interviews where they do give different reasons for the breakup. maybe all the different answers they gave were contributing factors, but they were still different answers.
and for the seemingingly hundredth time, i do believe that it is also the band's fault, as well as allen, phil, etc. but yoko was one of the people at fault, too.
and linda was never on the same level as yoko, interference wise. and if she ever was, it was only because yoko was there first. would linda be wrong, then, to follow yoko's example?
(and allen klien really did screw the beatles over) (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) Re: cc zap_shazam 2005-04-21 02:09 (link) "and for the seemingingly hundredth time, i do believe that it is also the band's fault, as well as allen, phil, etc. but yoko was one of the people at fault, too"
Then why aren't you making icons that say
"Blame Allen for Everything" or "Blame Phil For Everything"
Look, I really don't want to argue anymore. But when people begin to rip on Yoko for no reason at all, I get bitchy and protective over Yoko, who, like Linda, is one of my female heroes. Just...try to tone done the Yoko Hate for all of the Yoko fans in this community...could that be possible? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread) Re: cc _courteney 2005-04-21 22:12 (link) i picked yoko for a couple of reasons: - i believe she played one of the largest roles in the breakup - i personally don't like her very much - and i knew i wouldn't get this response if i said "blame phil" or "blame allen"
and i didn't say allen screwed them over band-break-up wise. it's his fault michael jackson was able to buy the rights to the lennon-mccarney songs. (but that's okay now because the freak has to sell them back)
i don't want to argue either. maybe i should've known better than posting the icon in the first place, but i must add that i come from a biast background. all of my beatle-loving friends, every beatle lover i've ever met before has disliked yoko. and especially my mother, who i have to thank for my beatles obsession now. she played beatles records to me in the womb. anyway, she is not a bad-word person, and yoko is the only person i've ever heard her call a "bitch." so i'm surrounded by people who have my point of view on the subject, sorry.
but i don't think my opinions of yoko will ever really come up again, and i'll try to keep it that way, if yoko-lovers do the like. (:
(and linda's one of my heroes, too. ) Zap...I love you.

<333 that last one.
I found this quote: "So many people had a bad feeling that John was with me," she says simply. "Well, hmm, he was. I can't change history."
