They didn’t speak till they had driven for 30 minutes already.
“Okay…Lauren…speak up. What did he say and what’s up now?” Olivia asked.
Lauren told the girls everything. How John told her he wasn’t right for her and how he apologized for his behaviour.
“Awh…if you think about it…he’s kind of sad.” Sarah said.
“He is…but I like him. I love him.” Lauren said.
“You need to forget him girl.” Jan said.
“But what if they come over to visit you girls…I mean…am I going to be left out now?” she asked.
“No silly…well…you’ll have to think of him as a friend, not as a possible lover.” Jan explained.
Lauren nodded. “It’s going to be hard, but I think I can do it. He’s right…I need guys like Bobby.”
“Bobby!?” the other three yelled.
“Girl, he was such a softy.” Olivia laughed.
“Yeah, but at least he was sweet and nice and a gentleman.” Lauren spitted.
Olivia rolled her eyes and Jan coughed.
“Maybe you should give him a call…you know…just to have a good time, without thinking about John.” Jan tried.
“John who?” Lauren said causing the others to look at her. “I have forgotten about him again. Well I try, but it’s working.”
“Till we get home.” Sarah mumbled.

“Okay and now you Livvy.” Jan smiled looking at Liv in the mirror.
“Oh girls…I’m so happy. George is so cute. The only thing that slightly annoys me is that he smokes, but then again I put up with you too Sar.” Liv said smiling.

“Is Paul coming with him when he visits you?” Jan asked taking a left turn and pushing the gas to go to the highway.
Sarah patted Jan on the head.
“Ouch! What did you do that for?” Jan said rubbing the sour place.
“Jan!!! Why are you playing so hard to get. He wants you!” Sarah said.
“Yes girl. I thought you fancied him.” Liv yelled in her ear.
“I do… but I just want to give it some time.” Jan said.
“Some time? What for?” Sarah asked.
“For…well why do we need to rush things? If he really fancies me he’ll wait.” She replied.
“Jan….you have your silly moments…and this is another one. Paul…he is really handsome and you let him walk away.” Olivia said.
“I’m not…I mean…well…he said he fancied me, so he’ll wait and if he doesn’t…well then he didn’t fancy me as much as I fancy him.” She said before she drove the car in a tunnel.
“Silly Jan.” Sarah teased her.
Jan pushed Sarah.
“Watch the road silly.” Olivia yelled.
And this way they drove on till they reached home.

Meanwhile at the guys place.
“So…what did you say to Lauren John?” Paul asked. “You obviously got her upset.”
John explained what he had said.
“Hmm…I don’t know John. So you have told her about the band?” Ringo asked.
“Yes I did…of course I did! Come on guys…what if we DO get famous?” John said. “Believe me…you would be just like me…getting every girl you can. And you know it!”
“No, I wouldn’t. I really love Olivia.” George shook his head.
“You love her? After one night? You don’t even know what love is…you like her…or are in love with her, which isn’t weird, because she’s cute... But you can’t love her after one night!” John now yelled.
“John stop yelling please. What if George really likes this girl? At least he’s willing to give the relationship a chance.” Paul said.
John sighed.
“I don’t even know Lauren that well. I only know she’s a good kisser and that she lives with her parents.”
“So?” Ringo frowned.
“Well. I don’t know…never mind.” John said gazing out of the window.
After a short moment of silence Paul started cheering.
“John!!! John I think you’re actually in love!!!” he said hugging John.
“No way man!” John grumbled.
“I think Paul’s right Johnny. I think you really like Lauren…more than you’d like to admit. And you just don’t know what to do with it.” George said like he was a Psychiatrist.
John didn’t say a word till they were at Paul and Ringo’s work. How would they know what he felt? They were his best friends, but he could make up his own mind about his feelings. And he sure as hell wasn’t in love.

3 months went by before Olivia and George had made an appointment to visit each other. Paul had been chatting to Jan on the internet once in a while and Sarah and Ringo phoned now and then too. Only Lauren and John haven’t spoken each other all that time.
Lauren had called her ex boyfriend Bobby two weeks after they came back from their little party at Paul, john, Ringo and George’s place. She wanted to ban John out of her life. Also as a friend though Sarah and Olivia told her not to and to see him as a friend.
“But I can’t see him as a friend. It’s better to just never see him again.” Lauren had told them.
Lauren and bobby got back together after they had split up 1,5 year ago. Bobby was happy, because he had been heartbroken when Lauren broke up with him back then. She told him she had the feeling to be too locked up already. She wanted to have more space…more freedom to do things on her own instead of living like a married couple at a young age of 16. Now she was 18 and ready to try it again. Bobby had forgiven her for the mean way she broke up with him. She called him to say it was over and never talked to him again.
“Gah…he’s such a softy, girl.” Sarah sighed. “If I was him I would never forgive you for that. But…he’s Bobby and he’s weird.”
“He isn’t weird!!!” Lauren threw a slice of bread to Sarah’s head.
Sarah and Lauren argued about Bobby for a while, while Jan and Liv discussed if George was to come alone or bring the others.
The girls had decided to rent a house together because Lauren got kicked out of her parents house and couldn’t live with either Sarah or Liv and Jan. Laurens parents didn’t believe her story about staying with sarah that night she was at the guys place. She got grounded for 6 months, but managed to escape to go out with Olivia after 3 weeks. Her parents found out about it and kicked her out on the street.
As Sarah’s room was too small for two people and Jan and Liv didn’t have any room left, they all decided to rent a house together.

George had told Olivia he was coming over for two weeks. Jan was slightly disappointed with hearing that George was coming alone. Also Sarah wasn’t too happy about that when she heard about it at dinner.
“What do you mean Ringo isn’t coming with them?” Sarah almost choked in her pasta.
“No No. Only George is coming over.” Jan replied.
“Jan is right. They can’t come they have to work…and well John…” Olivia said as she looked over to Lauren.
“It’s okay Liv.” Lauren smiled. Me and Bobby are happy together again.”
“It’s good to hear that Lauren.” Jan said.
“Yeah…you two are fine together.” Sarah added.
“So he’s coming this Saturday eh?” Jan asked.
Olivia nodded happily.
“Then we better clean this mess up.” Sarah laughed. “It’s already Tuesday!”

The days went on by so fast and Saturday morning Liv and Jan went to the airport to get George.
Jan begged Liv to go to the airport together. Jan couldn’t believe Paul wasn’t coming. He must be…
But when the plane had landed and Liv saw George walking trough the gate, Jan knew he really wasn’t coming.
Jan was happy to see George again though. He could fill her in about his friend.
George and Olivia hugged for hours and Jan drove them home.

When they arrived at home Sarah, Lauren and Bobby who was also there quickly welcomed George.
“Hello I’m bobby. Lauren’s boyfriend.” Bobby introduced himself to George.
George looked from bobby to Lauren who quickly looked away.
“Well ‘ello. I’m George. Liv’s boyfriend.” George said smiling at his girlfriend.
Then George walked over to Sarah and hugged her.
“Hey Sarah. Rings told me to say hello and I have to say he’s really sad for not being able to come over too.”
“It’s okay. I’ll kick his ass over the phone.” Sarah grinned.
Then George and Liv seemed to be the only two people on earth. They left to the bedroom immediately.
“Okay.” Sarah sighed. “We won’t be seeing them the next couple of days.”
Jan laughed, but Sar could see something was wrong.
As Bobby and Lauren went out to get some groceries sar and Jan sat down for a cup of tea.
“I’m just a little bit disappointed he isn’t here.” Jan moaned.
‘Awh, well Ringo isn’t here either. And I really fancy him. We talked a lot on the phone. You should see my mobile bill.” Sarah smiled.
“We’re two lonely girls.” Jan sighed.
“No we’re not. We’ve got each other.” Sarah said putting an arm over Jan’s shoulders.
Jan started crying softly. Sarah just held her and they sat there like that for half an hour.

Sarah was right. They hardly saw George and Olivia the first week. They did have breakfast all together, but the rest of the day they were either in Liv’s bedroom or the two of them was away to go sightseeing together.
That Saturday when George was with the girls for exactly a week Liv and her man decided to go out again. But this time they asked the others to come with them. Lauren, Sarah and Jan agreed and at nine they got out their hottest clothes and went out clubbing.
They had a marvellous time, but Jan wasn’t feeling to well, so Lauren, Sarah and Jan decided to go home at two o clock.

When Sarah opened the door she noticed Bobby sitting on the couch. He wasn’t looking too friendly.
“Hey Bobby!” Sarah smiled. “You’re up late.”
“Fuck off Sarah! Where’s Lauren?” Bobby said tapping his nails on the couch.
“Hey! Have you lost your mind? What’s wrong with you telling me to fuck off?” Sarah said walking over to him. But he got up, pushed her away and grabbed her by jacket.
“Where….is…Lauren?” he said angrily again.
“What the fuck!” Jan yelled when she walked in and saw the two of them standing there. “Bobby! Let go of her!!”
Then Lauren came in too, curious to hear what the noise was about. And there she saw her boyfriend with anger in his eyes.
“Hey hon. What’s wrong? What are you doing?” Lauren asked. You could hear fear in her voice. She didn’t like the image in front of her.
Bobby let go of Sarah and walked over to Lauren. He slapped right in the face and Lauren fell down on the floor.
Jan sat down with Lauren making sure she was okay, but Sarah jumped on Bobby’s back. She pulled some his hair out and when he turned around and Sarah was in front of him again she punched him in the stomach.
“You jerk!” she said and spit in his face.
Lauren cried out loud asking what she had done to deserve this. Bobby wiped his face and breath heavily.
“You whore!” he yelled. “You stupid whore. You got me fooled again.”
Lauren, but also Jan and Sarah didn’t understand what he was talking about.
“Ha! You think I’m going to let you get away with it again this time. The first time you didn’t know if you wanted to go on with me and now you decided to cheat on me too? Lauren….so low. I was so wrong about you…again!” he yelled at Lauren.
It didn’t make sense but they were all glad when they heard Liv and George coming in.
“George help us please. Bobby hurt Lauren.” Sarah said.
George ran to Bobby with his fists clenched. But Bobby made his way out of the house again. Lauren ran after him.
“Bobby!!! What are you talking about?” she cried.
“Ask that the guy who was in front of your door tonight. He was waiting for you and told me everything.” Bobby said. He looked back at Lauren one more time, said goodbye and closed the door behind him.
Lauren sat down at the top of the stairs and cried. It didn’t make any sense.

George, Olivia, Sarah and Jan sat in the living room shocked by what happened just yet. It didn’t seem real to them. Then George broke the silence.
“What did he do that for? What did Lauren do?” he asked.
No one knew. They were searching for answers but none of them knew it.
Then Lauren came walking in again. She still had tears in her eyes.
“You know guys…that he slapped me isn’t the worst thing.” She said rubbing her hurt cheek.
“The thing is…I don’t know WHY he did it. He said something about a guy who was waiting for me.”
“Waiting for you? Where” George asked.
“Here….in front of the door. Bobby said the guy was waiting for me and they chatted and that caused him to slap me.” She said looking to the floor.
“Well be glad you got rid of him now.” Sarah said. Liv and Jan coughed. How could Sarah say something like that?
But Lauren didn’t even seem to have heard it.
“A guy eh?” Liv said. “ Well…who could it be?”
“I don’t know. But if you’re okay with it I’m going to bed now and I’ll see what tomorrow brings.” Lauren said.
The others nodded and after Sarah, Jan, George and liv sat in the living room together without saying a word for half an hour they also went to bed.

The next morning they all woke up and George and Olivia made the others breakfast. Lauren didn’t want wake up. The fact that she and Bobby broke up again had broken her heart. Especially because she didn’t know why he broke up with her last night. She had a huge headache and didn’t feel like having breakfast at all.
“Lauren…you have to eat something.” Sarah said who was checking to see how her friend was doing.
“Sar, I can’t take anymore broken hearts.” Lauren said pushing her head more into her pillow.
“I can imagine.” Sarah sighed. “I wonder who that guy was though.”
“Me too. Well, I guess I’ll have breakfast after all.” Lauren said as she got up out of bed.

After breakfast, which they all enjoyed, Sarah and Jan left to go for their Sunday jogging in the park. They ran down the stairs, opened the door and breathe in the clear air of the environment. They lived in an area just outside the big city, but it was like heaven.
They ran to the park a couple of minutes away from their house. It was warm that day and soon they were all sweaty.
“Please Jan…I need to sit down for a while.” Sarah said all tired.
“I’m pretty tired too. Let’s sit there.” Jan said as she said down on the grass near the water.
Jan lay down and enjoyed the sun. She closed her eyes but then she heard Sarah scream. She opened her eyes to see why Sar was screaming but then screamed her longs out herself.
“What the fuck are you doing here!?” Jan yelled.
“Well that’s a nice way to say hello to some old friends.” One of the three guys said.
Jan jumped up like some spastic and hugged the three guys.
“Paul!!!” Jan said. “You’re here.”
“Hey ringo, hey john. It’s good to see you too.” Ringo said smiling looking at Jan and Paul hugging.
“Hey babe.” Sarah said kissing Ringo. “Hey John.” They hugged.
Jan suddenly let go of Paul.
“OOOOOH, now I know who the guy was!!” Jan said over-exciting.
