ok this is my new story(not the romance one)hope u enjoy!im very nervous bout posting this though all feed back is welcome!
It was a very stormy day as John looked out the window. He was supposed to
be doing an interview but since it was raining it was canceled.
He had a nagging feeling at the back of his mind, but he tried his best to ignore it. He was thinking of his family when a buzzing sound interrupted his thoughts.
"Mr. Lennon?"
"Yes?"
"There’s a man here who just stumbled in and he said to me to get you."
"Well, luv, who is it?"
"I can't quite tell, but it looks a lot like Paul McCartney."
"WHAT!?! How can you not tell? What does he look like?"
"Well he doesn’t look like his normal self. He's pale and colorless, he's having
a hard time breathing, and he can't quite talk either. Also his hair is all messed up, he is wearing dirty clothes, and I think he seriously needs help."
"Well send him up here, NOW!"
"Yes sir."
John then got worried. What was wrong with Paul? Surely he wasn't that
sick. Yeah he was looking a little pale yesterday, but after a concert Paul always looked a little pale. But he never looked colorless or had a hard time breathing. Plus knowing Paul practically his whole life he knew that whenever Paul had a chance he'd start talking and never shut up (around the lads and around reporters). The last time things like this happened is when
Paul either split up with a long term girlfriend (like Dot for example) or he was sick. But Paul hadn't been dating and, other than looking a little pale yesterday, he hadn't been showing any of the signs of sickness that the lobby clerk was talking about. Also Paul always, and especially after he became famous, looked his best. What disturbed his thoughts again was a knock on the door. When John had opened it he saw a orderly holding up a practically lifeless Paul .When John saw his best bud like this, he felt sick to his stomach. He took Paul, by holding him under his arms, and then the orderly left.
"Paul?"
John shook him getting more worried when young Paul didn't answer.
"PAUL?!?"
This time John let go of Paul and when he did the only response he got was
Paul falling into his arms. He took the white, limp body over to the couch and layed him down.
Next he covered Paul with a lot of blankets, because he was shaking.
violently. He took a hold of Paul's colorless shaking hand to let him know that he was there.
Suddenly Paul stopped shaking. John was taken aback by this and let go.
But as he did Paul started shaking again.
John soon found out that Paul was still some what conscience and he needed to know that someone was there, a someone that cared for him, like John or one of the other lads. As Paul went back to being unconscience, it didn't matter if John was holding his hand or not, Paul would still
shake. Though he would still shake John felt it was best if he held Paul's hand. After a while of Paul not getting better but worse, John decided to call up the other Beatles and Brian Epistien. Brian was the first one there with a doctor by his side. When John saw Brian's reaction to Paul he thought that the doctor would to check up on Brian too. Next the rest of the Beatles showed up dripping wet because it was still raining outside. They came in shocked at the sight of their dying friend. The doctor checked Paul out to see what was the matter.
"Well he isn't in good condition....."
"We can see that" said a very frustrated but very worried John.
"Yeah but I'm afraid that he probably isn't going to get better, only worse.
I'm afraid that he may not make it"
At the doctors words George ran out crying but still slamming the door. He down the hall and at the end he fell down on his knees.
He did not want Paul to get worse or die.
Paul was one of his best friends who was always there for him. He was so young, too.
Plus he was the one that got George into the Quarrymen, which turned into the Beatles."NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" could be heard down the hall coming from George.
Ringo ran down when he heard this. He fell down by George with tears in his beautiful blue sparkly eyes.
"Come on George lets go back and see 'im. He just woke up, so I think it's best if we see and talk to him before they take him to the 'ospital.”
"WAIT, when did they decide to take 'im to the 'ospital?"
"Well George really not doing well and they also want to check up on John cuxhe's so distressed"
Ringo tried to bring humor into the room by saying this but that got him no
where but an evil look from George. They got back into the room to find John crying by Paul side, holding his shaking, colorless hand. Brian and the doctor had left. The two lads went by John. Paul was very white, and at the sight of that George felt sicker than had before.
"Geo...George? Ring..go? John,,John? Are yo..ou gu..guys there?" Came a shaky voice from under all the blankets.
"Yes." replied John, relived to hear Paul's voice.
"Are all yo„ou guys the„re?"
"Yes we're all here Pauly. And don't you worry we're gonna take care of you. Once you get to the hospital you'll....."
"Wa„a„it! I'm ga„going to a hos„s„pital? You knn„now I hate tho„ose p„places"
"Yes, but Paul it's the best thing that we can do. There gonna bring you there because...."
But John couldn't finish and say cuz you might not make it.
He couldn't hurt his friend anymore and gosh knows he's been hurt enough.
But Paul knew, though he had a small memory of it, that he was really sick."I„I don't ca„care Jo„ohn."
But just then Paul started shaking more violently, turned pale, and moaned.
"Ge„get me the blo„loody do„doctor! Me„me head!"
John got worried as he ran out the room to get the doctor, while George and
Ringo tried to soothe Paul. But after a while he went unconscience.
The doctor came in saying, "Where is he? Where is he? John says it's an
emergency"
Ringo managed to say, "He's right here. He just fell unconscience, but he said something about his head hurting."
The doctor listened to Paul's heartbeat and breathing. But when he put Paul
back down (after sitting him up to listen to his heartbeat from his back) he got worried.
"Get me an ambulance! We've got to get him to a hospital, immediately!"
Brian, having heard this called one right away.
"Doctor what's a matter?"George asked.
The doctor only shook his head.
"NO!, tell me!" By then George was practically yelling and was on his feet.
John and Ringo were trying to calm him down but he refused.
"I don't quite know. His breathing is faster than usual and his heartbeat is
also faster. Once I get more doctors to check him out I'm pretty sure he'll be fine"
But as he said this, the doctor had a look of doubt on his face.
The ambulance people cmae out, put Paul on the strecher, and took him away.
As the lads went to follow him, the doctors held them back.
The lads did not trust him and did not want to leave their friend in his care.
Ringo was soon standing up next to George.
"I don't care what you or Brian say but we're going with him"
"But you cant. It would be breaking the rules..."
Then John piped in, "Did you here us? We don't give a care if it's considered breaking the rules. We're going with our friend no matter what. He's dying for gosh darned sake and he doesn't really know it, and the best thing we can do is to go with him. He's like a brother to me and I need to be with him. Come on guys lets go!"
With this John, George, and Ringo ran out the building to find Paul. He was
outside on a stretcher being lifted into an ambulance. His eyes were closed but he was softly saying "Get me the lads."
As he got strapped in the others hopped in. The ambulance people looked confused but when the doctor came in behind them and gave the people a nod the drivers took off. George sat down by Paul, while the others stood up looking on. George took Paul's hand. Paul opened his eyes and looked around confusedly.
George seeing this said, "We're taking you to the hospital, Pauly, whether you like it or not." After he heard this, Paul just closed his eyes again, knowing that, even if he fought back, he could not win. George felt his forehead to see if Paul had a fever. He was burning up. But it was not like a regular fever. It kept going from warm to cold, warm to cold and so on and so on. The others seeing how worried George got , John told the ambulance drivers to speed up. They did. Paul still having only a small idea of what was going on asked "What's t„the mat„t„ter with ma„me you ga„guys?"
Silence.
"Pule„ese?"
John finally got enough courage to answer but as he did he couldn't look at his tortured friend.
"Paul, their not quite sure. All we know is that you might not ...."
John couldn't finish but Paul knew what John was saying. The others saw this too and didn't need to say anything.
