The Hat

[Paul'sbird]

It was a misty morning in London and a young man was running arounf the house. He stops at his friends closet.
"John won't mind if I wear this hat, just for today." Paul said to himself.He put the hat on and walked out the door.

He reached the set of Magical Mystery Tour and went to find the others.Little did he know that the hat he was wearing was soon going to cause alot of trouble.
*******
"Macca," John asked "isn't that my hat?"
"Yeah," Paul said he touched the brim. The thing he knew he was standing in the middle of a huge field.

"Where'd he go?" George asked wide eyed.
"I don't know," John replied. the three of them looked at the hat "you put it on." John said looking at George.
"It's your hat!" George replied
After about 20 minutes of arguing they all touched the brim of the hat. They soon found them selve in the same large field. Paul sat under a tree and at the sight of his mates he quickly got up.
"So where are we?" Paul asked
"I don't know" George replied
"You're in Panasonic." Came a voice from behind them.
They turned to see who it was.

A very short, elderly woman was standing behind them.
"Where?" John asked
"Panasonic," She replied "Now you four come with me."
"But we don't know who you are." Ringo said.
The old lady got quite mad "I don't care." she replied
"Do you even know who we are?" Paul asked.
"I don't care if you're the Beatles, you've got to be cleaned up."

Part of Chapter 2

They followed the old women across the field all in silence until John couldn’t take it any more. He was mad at Paul for getting them here, and he needed him to know it.

“This is all your fault you nit” John whispered to Paul
“How do you figure that one?” Paul replied trying to convince himself that it wasn’t.
“Well you were the one who stole me hat in the first place.” John said getting more irritated as they went on.
Paul stood in silence, not able to come up with a protest when the little old lady came to a stop.

She turned around with the oddest look on her face. A cross between anger and excitement (why she would be feeling either of these none of them knew).

“Uh, ma’am, I was just wonderin’ were the heck are we going, and are you gunna tell us your name anytime soon!?” George nearly yelled.
“We are going to the castle so you lot can get out of here, and no I won’t.” she said matter-of-factly, taking out a map and studying it. “Looks like we have to take the middle road”

Taking her advice, Ringo stepped forward to what he thought was the middle path of the three that were ahead of them.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you young man.” The old lady said glancing up for a second then turning back to what she was doing. Ringo looked down in mid-step only to find that the path started to move! He jumped back in shock and then still a bit edgy went and took a place behind John.
“See this is a different place then where you came from. Things act in a different ways and you would all be wiser to remember that. Here, our pathways like to move around, gives them a way to stretch out y’see. You need to wait until they have stopped for a complete 30 seconds before you know it is safe to move on.” She informed them.
They all waited for about five minutes not daring to look away from the swaying paths, not knowing when they would decide that they were properly stretched. After what seemed like hours, they finally stopped, everyone silently counted in their head ‘on one thousand, two on thousand, three one thousand…’ and so on. When it reached to 30 seconds without a blink or a word everyone started down the center pathway.
After sometime walking Paul decided that they weren’t going to get anywhere fast, so he mine-as-well take a look around. He looked all over, to him it seemed just like the place that was described in one of John’s songs not too long ago… “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ was the one. But there was one thing that just stuck out at him. The pathway that they were walking on was made out of giant playing cards!
