sorry, everybody. I meant to, just.... anyway. Paul groaned as his legs suddenly gave way. “Hmmmphhfgg,” he mumbled. John sighed and raised his eyebrows at George, who yawned. “You know, Paul, the press’ve been here. We think they may’ve seen yeh.” He said, going over to paul and helping him sit up. Paul stared up at him, muttered, “Shit,” and tried to lie down again. He had a massive headache, as well as the sneaking suspicion that that trip didn't help any of his problems at all. As John dragged him out of his bed, he saw the hippo in the corner of his eye, but when he lookedat it, it disappeared. He closed his eyes and tried to wipe away the terrible feeling the drug trip left him with, and instead concentrated on getting over to the chair they had pulled out for him. He got to the table and sat down, having the feeling of huge accomplishment, and looked over at George with bloodshot eyes. He stared into paul’s eyes for a second, shoook his head, and turned away. Paul looked over at john, who looked at him with cold eyes, and said, “Like I said. The press were ‘ere, and we couldn’t stop ‘em. They might’ve seen yeh. You’d best lie low for a while.” He sighed and responed with a halfhearted, “I was going to anyway.” His thoughts turned to Jane Asher, his girlfriend of several years. They had had a huge fight the night before, and he didn’t know what to say back to her. It was all true, of course. She accused him of being with Francie Schwartz and not paying enough attention to her. She said it was over. He didn’t believe her, he said she was lying, that they’d work it out and everything would look better in the morning. She had screamed at him to leave her apartment, and he had done so in a hurry. He sighed again. His mind turned to John and George, who were acting more and more cold and unfriendly every day, without him knowing why. He lay his head on the table and turned it towards George, who was now staring at him intensely. “So paul, what was it like fer you?” He said in an urgent whisper. Paul raised his eyebrows, suprised, and said, “Terrible. I hated it.” He oozed off his chair onto the ground, where he lay for quite a while, with John and George peaceably eating breakfast at the table.
