Fan fic: "The special guests"

At the end of their shift, Jantina came with Sarah to her home to eat. They often did that. Sometimes Jantina was cooking and now it was Sarah’s turn again. It was a good way to chat and gossip about all sorts of things. But the latest hot item were of course, the Beatles.
Sarah went upstairs and when she came back she had a few papers and pictures in her hand. “Look! They are the Beatles” Sarah said, pointing at a picture with four of the most good looking guys Jantina had ever seen. “Wow, they look amazing” she said. “Amazing?” Sarah couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “They are far beyond amazing!!” “Okay, you’re right, but er…who’s John then eh?” Jantina asked looking at the picture. Sarah had told her that John was the hottest, but Jantina thought they were all hot. “That’s John” Sarah pointed at a guy who was just pulling a weird face at one of the pictures. Jantina looked at Sarah and said: “ you can have him, as long as I can have him! He’s so cute!” “That is Paul” Sarah said. “He’s a charmer, most girls love him. By the way if I’m not mistaken he’s already got a girlfriend.” Jantina was a bit disappointed after hearing that. But she joked: “well there are still two other guys. I’m sure one of them is available.” “Jantina, sometimes I can’t believe you, you crazy girl!” They both started laughing and enjoyed a tasteful dinner.

A few days of hard working went on by and the day that their boss would tell them who the special guests were was coming closer everyday. “Sarah, I will be very disappointed now if it turns out that the Beatles aren’t the special guests.” Jantina said. Sarah nodded. But she wasn’t speaking. Jantina looked at her, started to laugh and said “what’s up girl? I’m sure they’re coming. I was just joking. It must be them.” But Sarah wasn’t answering. Jantina asked her again, but Sarah seemed like she was about to cry. She turned to Jantina, tears were falling from Sarah’s eyes. “I…I…” “You what?” Jantina asked. She got a bit scared, because Sarah looked like she was going to faint. “Please, let me sit down” Sarah said grabbing the desk “And I think you should sit down too, Jan.”

They grabbed a chair that was standing behind the desk. They both sat down. Sarah was crying and laughing at the same time. “Sarah come on! You’re confusing me! What’s going on?” Jantina asked.
“Are you ready?” Sarah asked “Yeah, I’m ready! What is it?” Jantina almost yelled. She had no clue what the letter in Sarah’s hand was saying but she was so curious.
“Okay.” Sarah tried to act normal again “We were right” She said calmly. They looked at each other. “What do you mean we were right?” Jantina said “About what?” “Okay, let me put it this way…I think this is our chance to meet the Beatles!!!” Sarah yelled of excitement. “What!!??” Jantina couldn’t believe it. “Let me see that letter. Where did you get it?” “It’s the fax their manager send to the hotel to let us know when they are arriving.” Sarah said smiling. “Okay and when is that?” Jantina asked curiously. “Tomorrow” Sarah answered. They both danced and jumped through the lobby out of excitement. People were staring at them, but they didn’t care. They were going to meet the Beatles.

They couldn’t think of anything else anymore. But they still had to work till 4. “5 hours to go” Jantina said. “I know, this is hell. I wish it was tomorrow already.” Sarah said. Suddenly Jantina whispered: “Ssht, the boss is coming.” “Sarah and Jantina?” said a loud voice “Can I have a word with the two of you?” It was the boss and he wasn’t looking friendly. “Uh Oh” Sarah said “it must be about the fax we’ve read this morning” and they walked with him to his office.

“Sit down” he said. The girls were a bit afraid, because they assumed he was angry with them reading the fax. “Girls, I think you already know why you’re here?” Jantina and Sarah looked at each other, but didn’t say anything. “Okay, well let me tell you then.” The boss said. “I guess you two already know who will be arriving here tomorrow, right?” The girls nodded. “The Beatles are going to stay here for a week. Well, since you two are the most decent and hard working girls in my staff. I want you two… and I mean ONLY you two, to be their personal maids.” They looked at each other again. Was he really saying that? No, that couldn’t be…Jantina pinched herself in her arm quickly, was she dreaming? “Er…excuse me sir, but do you mean er…” Sarah stuttered. “Yes, Sarah. I mean that you will be the only two from this hotel who are going to say hello to the guys. Of course I am too, but if they ask for something…anything from food to towels. You are the only two who are allowed to bring that to them.” They were so happy and Jantina asked: “Sir can we hug you? You don’t have a clue how happy you made us.” “Okay” he said “But…but!! If anything goes wrong or I hear that you have misbehaved in any kind of way, I will not only get you out of there, I will fire you immediately, so behave!” “We will, we will, you’ll be proud of us!” Sarah and Jantina yelled, while hugging their boss.
