He took Lauren's hand and ran her up stairs, but before they could get back to their room John grabbed Paul by the shirt collar.
"And where do you think you're goin'?" John asked "I've got to train you."
"For what?" Paul asked as he watched Lauren be pulled away by Cynthia.
"For bein' a dad." John replied taking Paul into his room.
"Okay," Paul said sitting on John's bed. It was messed up, Paul knew why.
"Good, let's start with a sinario" John said grabbing a pillow and handed it to Paul. "This is Mary."
"No, this is a pillow." Paul said
"Work with me." John said taking another pillow and holding it. "Ok, so, let's say Lauren is out with Cyn shopping and Mary starts to cry, What do you do?"
"I check her diaper,rock her or feed her." Paul replied with a smile
"Yes, very good! You know this, why am i trying to teach you?" John said returning the smile
"I don't know."

A weak cry soon came from the kids room. Lauren woke up and shook Paul.
"What?"Paul asked sleepily
"I think Mary's crying." She replied getting up and putting on her dressing gown.
" 'old on," Paul said getting up "I'll come with you."

When they got into the room they found both Mary and Jules crying. Jules was standing up with tears down his face and Mary lay on her back.
"I'll take Mary."Lauren said to Paul. She knew Jules would respond better to Paul.
"Okay, I'll take Jules." Paul said lefting him up and walking him around. Lauren sat in the rocking chair with Mary. She looked over at Paul and smiled.
"What?" Paul said noticing Lauren's stare.
"How did we get in this anyway?"
"I'm not sure." He replied grinning.
