*moans* do I have to? (jk) ************ Kaycie stopped at a fast food place and grabbed a burger and french fries and ate them on her way back to the hotel. She was deep in thought once again and let her feet guide her though not paying the slightest bit of attention as to where they were going. She was finally around the hotel when the screams of the fangirls brought her back to reality. With a cluck of dissaproval at them, she went back into thought and ended up walking into the entrance door to the hotel. She cursed the door and walked inside thinking: 'I've got to pay more attention to where the bloody hell I'm walking.....' and while she was thining this she walked into the counter where Manwell was. "Darn it!" she muttered, then looked up to see Manwell trying to stifle and laugh and failing miserably. "And what are you laughing about?" she said angrily. "Who me?" he asked putting on an innocent look. "Yeah,yeah,whatever," she said handing him a french fry,which he took gratefully. She tore at her burger ravenously with Manwell watching her wryly. "Do you always have such bad eating habits?" he inquired once she was done taking an enormous bite. She swallowed her food and said,"Nope, I'm justing waiting for you to crack or complain." "'Ello!" said a voice from behind and Kaycie swiveled to see who had come down. SHe saw a man with blue eyes standing there and his face reminded her of a puppy's and suddenly a scene flashed before her eyes and she lost contact with reality. There was a basset hound puppy there and he was running around excitedly. There were also two adults,two parents,staring lovingly at a little girl while singing "Happy Birthday". THe mother was beautiful with auborn hair and she bent down and said,"Happy Birthday, hope you like your present," and at that moment she gave the little girl the puppy and as the scene moved to show the little girl's face, Kaycie realised with somewhat of a shock that the girl was her, only as a young child. |

Slowly the scene began to vanish, and she cried out but no sound escaped, she wanted to hold onto the scene. The hotel was starting to come back into view. She was now aware of Manwell shaking her, trying to bring her back. The man was now sitting next to her, saying,"You all right,luv?"
She turned and stared at him, seeing the basset hound puppy look etched with deep concern.
Before she responded,Manwell said,"I think we should all go into the lobby for a drink."
Kaycie nodded her head numbly, got up, and followed Manwell.
After they had gotten comfortable, and Manwell had poured them each something to drink, Manwell said, "Well, if you are all right then I suppose I should introduce to you, Richard Starkey." SAying this he made a gesture toward the man sitting next to her.
"Yeh can call me Ringo," he said cooly,"Ringo Starr."
She smiled and said," I'm Kaycie," though her mind was still on the scene she had seen.
"So," he continued,"you were the bird that we saw sliding down the banister earlier?"
She grinned sheepishly and said," Yep!"

Ringo was opening his mouth to say something more, when a pillow zoomed past his head, narrowly missing it. Ringo looked up indignatly, and saw another man standing there. Kaycie followed Ringo's gaze to the man on the staircase, who was walking down. As he entered the lobby he was greeted with,"Whadya do that fer?"from Ringo,who was still looking indignate.
The man shrugged and plopped down next to Ringo and across from Katia. She'd gotten bored and there was an evil grin on her face.
After the unidentified man had thrown the pillow she had picked it up and slipped a magazine from the table into it and was now hiding it behind her back.
As soon as the man sat down, she yelled,"Think fast!" whipped it out from behind her back and threw it at him all in one swift motion. Manwell, Ringo, and herself cracked up at this and Ringo howled," SHe gotcha,George."

Only a gew moments had passed since Kaycie had thrown the pillow, when there was a knock from the loud brass koncker at the grand doors. Hoping that it was another person wishing to stay, Manwell hurried to the door. Kaycie watched him go with some amusement,though her mind was trying to interpret the scene of her youth. She was somewhat surprised to see Jessica standing at the door, obviously just leaving her working shift. Kaycie saw Manwell talk to her for a bit, although she couldn't hear there conversation due to the door of the lobby.Kaycie scrambled to her feet and hurried past to the door of the lobby and opening it quickly. She bustled over to where Jessica and Manwell stood smiling.
"I came to visit her," Jessica was saying, pointing behind Manwell at the approaching Kaycie.
Before Manwell said anything,Kaycie said, "How'd you get here, Jessica?"
"I watched you leave and turn the corner and when my shift was over I followed you and asked the fangirls outside if-" she stopped here because Kaycie was suddenly frowning.
"You mean to tell me that they're still out there?" Kaycie asked,exasperated.
"Yep," was Jessica's reply. Kaycie sighed and then heard Ringo yell from the lobby,
"Since we can hear you, why don't you come out of the entrance hall, and into here to talk, however unpleasant our company might be." She turned and saw that she had left the lobby door open and a grinning Ringo and George free to hear them talk. She smiled and walked with Jessica toward the lobby, with Manwell following, dissapointed at the loss of a possible customer.
