Yes thats me! I am a ham! Not my best work. They are very raw demos at the top. I plan on rerecording them as I had just got some recording software and was still learning my way around.
Anywho...you got yourself quite a musical family. That is awesome. I was the only one playing in my house. My dad played hamonica, but my parents divorced and I was the only one with any musical instrument ability.
You are right on ith the flatwound, but it certainly helps to have a hollow body (Epiphone Hofner is like $2000 right?).
I have a Jay Turser as well! I have one that resembles John and Georges Jumbo but without the electronics. I had a Fender squire Bass but sold it. I am planning on buying a Acoustic Bass to replace it. My love lies with drums though. I really would like to learn more of that drumming stuff!

Thanks! Actually my sister also plays french horn, my older brother plays trumpet and piano as well and my younger brother plays trombone and piano, and sometimes the drums as well. also my older brother and I do vocal stuff too. We basically just learned from listening to records but eventually my brother joined choir for some formal instruction. I never liked choir so I just kept teaching myself.
So yeah, I guess we were lucky growing up. Neither of my parents play anything either, my dad just had a lot of records.
You're right on about the hollow body, my turser is a hollow body so it helps out as well.I think the turser is a great little instrument, not terribly expensive but it sounds pretty good and for me the hollow body is an added bonus, I'm not very big and the squire can weigh me down after a long while of playing.
And the epiphone hofner is quite expensive too, but i found one of the less expensive versions at guitar center for 500.
Ooh tell me how that acoustic works out, i've toyed with the idea of getting one, but never quite gotten around to it.
Hmm drumming is hard, i've never been good at it. For some reason i just can't get the hang of it. And unfortunately i don't know that much about drumming except for how it pertains to bass, i've always thought that bassists and drummers are a pretty symbiotic union, so i've always felt its important to have a good relationship with the drums.

Yeah drum and bass is ying and yang for sure. How many brothers and sisters do you have? Sounds like a full orchestra! I have this 6 string acoustic. I dont have enough $$$ for a bass yet but I would really love to get an acoustic or the Jay Turser Beatle Bass. Hey check out the other board Rock and Roll Music. I put another MP3 up there!

My dream is to own one of those! I still am not sure if I should get a acoustic bass or fulfill my dream of owning a Beatle Bass!

Hmm, it's a dilemma, they also have the more traditional cherry finish, but I wanted something a little different for myself.
