In case you're wondering, the Red Sox totally beat the Yankees last night 10-3 and are going to the World Series! Yay! They haven't won a World Series since, I believe, 1908 - The Curse of Bambino - when they traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees. So I'm hopeful for them.  I think I just have a thing for the underdog in baseball - my favorite team is the Detroit Tigers! XD Ahem... baseball nerd? Only a bit. Not at all. I happen to own only a TEN disc DVD set on the history of baseball, plus several books. Also, my favorite baseball player is Shoeless Joe Jackson, so you can imagine how nerdy I must seem. And as far as underdog teams... I support the Phillies, my hometown team, so you can just imagine how much of an underdog fan I am. I mean, they've won, like ONE world series EVER. (Yay 1980! Oh wait... no... other than the Phils winning the World Series, that's a REALLY bad year) 1. Do you realize that this World Series was ALMOST an omen for the election? I mean, if the Astros had won, they would have played Boston. Kerry's from Massachusetts, Bush is from Texas? 2. I apologize in advance to any Yankees fan for saying this, but I always felt that Yankees fans were just kinda on the bandwagon because they always won. As a Philly fan, I think I can safely say that. 3. In Maine I saw this tshirt that said "I support two teams- the Red Sox and whoever beats the Yankees." Well guess what... |

haha. yay montreal Expos and toronto blue jays! yay canada. I don't know baseball at all. GO TRACK AND FIELD. and yes, watching the olympics rocks mainly because the divers and swimmers all are REALLY HOT!  well the bodies are. maybe not the faces... |

i like baseball !!! woo and my favorite team is the dodgers even though theyre not the best team. i went o one of their games, it was them vs the astros and the dodgers won... woo!! and didnt the beatles play at dodger stadium a while back.... i wore my beatles shirt that day of that ball game.

I love baseball! I like wathcing it in person rather then on TV though, but I watched all 7 games between Yankees and Red Sox. I LOVE the Yankees, ever since I found out they were my grandpa's team when I was like 3 I've rooted for them, its not because they are always or usually in the world series, I hate when people say that!  I don't dislike the Red Sox either they're my second favourite team in the American league!!! That teache who obsessed over the Beatles also loved baseball and the last two months of school we learned about Baseball and made jerseys, I was Joe Morgan!!! Which worked out well because that's my name too!! Then we all attempted to played wiffle ball with our too-cool-for-school jerseys. |
