I was listening to Beatle Brunch on the radio last weekend and they were interviewing people and letting them request songs. I was getting kind of annoyed cause they kept requesting songs like "A Hard Day's Night" and "Can't Buy Me Love." As much as I love those songs, they get enough airplay as it is!! If you're gonna request, why waste it by asking for something they would normally play anyway? So here's my question: If you had the chance to request, would you go for a song that's already popular (like something off "One") or go for a lesser known one? And what song? It was really hard, but I think I would request Martha My Dear. The White Album is so under-rated, and people should def. hear more songs from it And that's my fave song on the album ^^

Across the Universe, because it's a beautiful song I've never heard on the radio. I also love A Day In The Life, but it get played on my classic rock station occasionally. So... Across the Universe.

ps. what station is beatle brunch on, what time, and what country(ie. US, Australia, etc)? cause I try SO hard, but I've only ever heard like 4 beatles songs on the radio.

I'd definitely request something from the White Album, cause it's my favorite and they never play very much from it. Ooh, maybe Happiness Is A Warm Gun. Just because I've been listening to that song a lot lately, so it popped into my head just now.

We have no good radio stations where I live. If you're a country, hip-hop, pop, or disco fan, you're in luck! But as I am none of these, radios here suck... Still, I'd request... Fool on the Hill. I love that song. ;D

Oh! thanks. ;D everyone here's so nice. The reason I WOULDN'T request revolution 9, is because it would put off a lot of people who could be potential beatle fans. Y'see, revolution 9 is a..."song" that you listen to wehn you've built up your strength and you can actually take it. most people would be like, AHHH WHAT THE HELL IS THAT! BEATLES? NEVER LISTENING TO THEM AGAIN! and that would kill a lot of fans, I think. maybe something cute. or even blue jay way. or baby you're a rich man. none of the early songs. they get played too often. Doctor robert?

Everyone listening to Beatles brunch are already Beatles fans. They'd get a kick out of it, I think.
We had a Beatles Brunch here the other day - I thought it was a one time for John's birthday, but we were on the list so apparently it's every Saturday! (I wouldn't have known, I don't listen to the radio in the mornings.) Now I'm excited ^_^

I'd totally ask them to put on Maggie Mae. That song sends me into absolute hysterics when Paul comes in while John is singing "This is a part of Liverpool, they returned me to two pounds ten a week, that was my pay" and Paul is like "Ahhhhhhhh." in the background.
