Ohh! Awesome idea I would sooo get a Beatles tribute band for my wedding, sept I'd have to be careful, I tend to get a little giddy around them lmao! For my wedding I will most deff. have a Beatles song playing. Dono which one, but I know that for my main dance I will have "All I Have is Yours" by George because it's sooo beautiful! And I agree with you guys, I just couldn't marry a guy who didn't like the Beatles, what would be talk about? ;D
If I ever saw Ringo or Paul anywhere, first I would have to wake up from where I fainted, but I think that I'd ask for an autograph & hope they'd be nice enough to oblige. I would apologize for bothering them, and thank them soo much for taking their time to do something so nice for me (it's hard to be angry at someone who is being totally mannered and thanking you)

I only turened 14 in May! SO glad to know I'm not the only younger one! Neway I love the tribute band ideas! Lucy, I turned fourteen in May too! When's your birthday? Oh, and the tribute band wedding sounds AMAZINGLY gear. And I couldn't possibly marry a dude who didn't like the beatles. How could he be my soulmate if he didn't like my soulband?

I have a good would you ever...
If you were given the opportunity to meet Paul or Ringo, or let's go out on a limb and say John and George, (somehow..travel back in time, have them come here etc etc.), but the consequence was to never hear another Beatle song...would you?
I think I can easily say that I'd pass up the oppotunity, but then if it were actually going to happen, I would most likely have a completely different opinion.
(I saw this on a LJ Beatles community and thought it was be interesting to post it here...)

I don't know about that, I'm not sure if I would have The Beatles for my wedding...

Hm... it rather depends on the definition of meet... Like, just kind of see them and get their autograph or really get to know them, you know? Even then I'd probably not for Paul or Ringo... but maybe for John. It's hard to say, you know? There's definitley a chance I'd do that to get to know John, especially since I could still listen to his solo stuff. No rules against that.

Yeah... hm. That's hard. But I think the only one I'd consider it for is John. It's amazing the amount of things I'd be willing to do to meet John, honestly. But really meet him, not just see him once or something.

I'd give up hearing a Beatles song or two if I could really get to know John or George. Man, could you even imagine the intellectual conversations you could have with them?! *phew* And knowing them would obviously be a blessing. Plus, then we would know Julian, Sean, and Dhani probably. *chuckles*

I thought it meant no more ANY Beatles songs...
To -really- get to know John, though, I still think I would. Especially since I didn't think about... Jules. ^__^ Maybe he'd sing Beatles songs for me.

*chuckles*
Jules could sing to ya, Crow.
But..o.k. so if I could never hear ANY Beatles song ever again...I'd really have to think about it.
The Beatles completely changed my life. I was a quiet, nerdy child that wouldn't socialize and kept to herself until I discovered the Beatles.
Seriously, my 8th grade year I was a completely different person than what I was in 7th grade, because the Beatles came into my life.
And although John and George were Beatles, I didn't really discover their solo stuff until late high school.
So...this is a tough question now that I looked into it further.

I changed alot too! I was really preppy in the begining of 6th grade. I had no friends though...and Nerds were not my kind of people...come to think of it I disliked basicaly everyone but Emma! WoW! Then I got into the Beatles and it was all good 'cos I made friends with super neardy peopel and became one myself! ;D (I'm not talking bad about anyone! I just realised how much I have changed since then. I also realised how the people I hung 'roud changed also)

I don't think the Beatles made me change particularly. I've liked them since the time I was a little kid, so it wasn't this dramatic thing... I've always been a cheeky little bastard, so when I found out more about the Beatles and started getting into them, it was more like I'd found some brothers that were like me than savoirs that could make me come into my own, you know? I already was in my own, they were just in my own too XD

XD I know exactly what you mean. I've always liked them, so there was never this big change.. but then, I've always been a big nerd, which is how I like it.

HUGE change for me. I was a regular 2001 child, of course. Back then I was "Omigod, dad, N*SYNC is on the Simpsons!" instead of "Dad, it's the Paul episode!" I guess my dad got me the One Album for Christmas because that was the year George died. I was totally like "Oh, great. The Beatles. Huh. Yay, Yellow Submarine. What did mom get me?" He wouldn't let me off that easy, of course. So, as I played the GameCube games my mum got for me, he played the One Album and made me turn the sound down on the telly. Then, the next morning as we were off to my grandma's for Christmas Morning, I suprisingly brought my new Walkman with me, with my first ever Beatles CD playing in it for most of the morning.
And, as they say, the rest is history.

I think, no I know, I've changed completely!
I walked into 6th grade, into a new school and people were literally intimidated by me. Which is odd, because I'm just Mindy! I mean even my name is happy. But I thought I was depressed and hated life, and thought the best way to be was to completely shun society out, listen to punk rock and get piercings, and write about it. But I would always secretly listen to like Eric Clapton and Firefall and all these bands from the 70s. Then one day my mom was just like..This song remind me of you, and put on paperback writer, and just from listening to that song, everything changed. I snuck the CD into my room and would listen to it when I went to sleep, and then I was like, you know what?! Screw it! I came out! lol. I starting wearing color, and being someone who I loved. I hated being upset and depressed all the time, it just wasn't me. The Beatles changed my all vies on life, I'm an optimist now, I always look on the bright side, and I'm hardly ever so sad that I want to escape, the Beatles, in a way, is it's own escape, because they make everything go away, and make things happy. Oh my god, I owe so much to them. <3
