I didnt know she had an affair with George.
I read somewhere that George was just playing the guitar one day at Ringos house and he turned around and said

"Maureen, Im in love with you."
Ringo Yelled at George, Patti locked herself in the bathroom and Maureen ran off crying.
A few weeks later, they were found together.

I never thought it was true and i never thought I'd say this but that's just very very wrong.

Apart from that, I think they made a very cute couple and that Maureen is really pretty.
Yes, i doubled posted becasue i could fit in anywhere in my last post.

But she was 18 when she got married. Ringo was 26.
that's not as bad as it sounds...your allowed to get married at 18 arent you??

I read that she was 19 and he was 25.. they had been dating since she was 16.
They made a great couple.

ohhh and I read also that they got married so early because she was already going to have Zak, and Ringo wanted to marry her before she had her baby.

Acording to my book what happened was George and pattie went over to Ringo's place.. they were jamming and George was playing love songs on the guitar... George stoped and said to Mo .. " Maureen I love you" and he had been for a long time... she ran off crying and someone picked up and left.
Ringo got angry. somewhere along the line he said something like "well I hope you 2 are happy together"
and a few weeks after, Patty rang ringo and told him she had caught george and maureen...

In an interview George had... a reporter asked "what made you love Ringo's wife? " or something and he replied "i don't know... incest I guess.." lol!

I already read this. I still don't know if it's true. But if it was I feel sad for them all. On the other hand....Mo was so lucky too though....Ringo & George....*sigh*

The thing I respect the most in her (in anybody really, but Mo especially) was that she was such a strong woman. She didn't want to devorce even after all those affairs that Ringo was having. She's my second favorite Beatle wife.
