I just thought we should have somewhere to talk about Hinduism, as it mean alot to George. I've been starting to get into the whole scene, I'm reading a book which is teaching me about finding myself. *Looks down* Why can't I see myself? Its just as bad as when I lose my keys. Anyways, if you'd like to chat, chat away.

George’s views on religion have really been changing me. I’m still a catholic, but I do refer to god as Hare Krishna alot. I’ve actually been fascinated with Hindu art and customs for a few years. Indian music is also a favorite of mine, Punjabi all the way.
I’m not to sure if George converted to Hinduism...I believe he went to the Hare Krishna side of it and practiced the religion his own way. But I could be wrong...

I'm pretty sure he converted. I got told today by someone who was teaching me about Hare Krishna. But, I could be wrong.

i'll look it up later.
"If there's a God, I want to see Him. It's pointless to believe in something without proof, and Krishna consciousness and meditation are methods where you can actually obtain God perception." -George Harrison

I really love how he was really into Hinduism (sp?) ;D
I would never really be 'converted' to it, I find it interesting, but I'm very staunch in my religion now.

Well, I think I would practise it, but not be Hindu, you know? I think that would be the easiest way.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking, but it's hard, you still have to give up alot to feel the power of Krishna.

And it does make you feel happy. It makes me feel good.

I've been interested in it for a while but haven't followed up on it much... maybe I should. I've mixed religions for as long as I can remember. I'm actually planning on getting confirmed Presbyterian in May because I do want to BE something and Presbyterian is as good a religion as any. But I've been mixing beliefs forever. I really want to bring my future kids up in my church though, that's why I'm getting confirmed so I can be a member. Right now I'm kinda playing it by ear with the religion thing but I think getting a book or two on hinduism would be a good thing for me. I used to embark on religious studies like all the time and I haven't in quite a while. And if the meditation and chanting and stuff honestly will make me feel as good as you guys say, I could... I could really use that.
