Oh my god I read that!!!! And that what's his name -- George Bush Sr. was behind it.  I don't know if I totally believe that, but it makes sense. He was advocating peace and a very 'dangerous' man to the government. But what doesn't make much sense is the timing. He was killed in '80. There was no war to protest against. The only assumption I have is that they thought he had given up the fame for his family and weren't worried about it anymore -- until he released Double Fantasy. Which he was shot only a little while after. Then again MDC is a derranged guy, so maybe he was just insane. |
