I agree with Yoko's idea with the Rock Hall exhibit being not to candy coat it. I can't even imagine all the pain she's been through because of that and maybe she thought it was a way to amke everyone else understand it too? You know, share it... or something.
I've never disliked her, really, and I feel bad when people blame her for breaking them up or whatever. There were so many other factors playing on them besides her. Not to mention, it's true that she had a VERY positive influence on John. I've read a lot of quotes from him saying that what attracted him to her was that she was strong and independent, which he wasn't used to in women. He also admitted that he was abusive to women in the past and she was the one that made him see how wrong that was. I've always respected her for that.

You know, I've never really had a problem with Yoko, I figured if she makes John happy, well, then that's all that matters. I also read somewhere (sorry, can't remember where) that John was really, really heavily into drugs and really depresed when he met Yoko and she pretty much saved his life because you know being heavy depression and drugs aren't good things to mix, but he found her and he fell in love with her and he had a reason to straighten up and act right. I don't know if that's true, but I could see how it could be.
I think with the Rock & Roll exhibit, I could see where she's coming from, but it's still a little much. I don't think I could handle seeing that. I can't even watch the end of Imagine anymore cause I cried soo hard. To have to see all of that it would just be too much. It's very artistic, what she did with it all though, she displayed images that haunt her everyday and she showed them to others so they could realize that no good came out of what happened and there should never be any of sugar coating about it because we can't learn from something unless we realize how bad it really was.

Agreed completely. Very well put.

I went to the Rock and Roll hall of fame just a few weeks ago while on a road trip with my dad. It was either seeing that, or seeing Niagra Falls later. We ended up seeing Niagra Falls later anyways. Anyways, I spent alot of time, obviously, around the John Lennon and the Beatles cases, but didn't see the clothes or the glasses you guys said were there. Did they have a seperate exhibit for John that I missed?
Also, about the MDC thing, about Yoko going to all of his meetings. I signed a pettition on the internet that's main purpose is to make sure that Mark David Chapman stays in jail for the rest of his life for taking John's. I suggest, if you can find it, sign it. They have a whole bunch of signatures already, and it can only do John's memory justice.

Yeah, Zap, they had a HUGE exhibit for John a few years ago that had a whole bunch of his stuff. The glasses and clothes were part of that.

YEAH he does.... And I love the fact that he's wearing a shirt with Ringo's face on it. Is that Mick Jaggar's daughter there with him as well? *chuckles* Sean and his women...geezie.
