When I first saw FotR, I fell inlove with Elijah Wood (Frodo) as in my email. And then, of course, I fell inlove with the movies.
I've always been a huge LotR fan.

Well about a year ago I was mental over LOTR. Hence my MSN e-mail adress. But I do still have a favortie. Merry, I was definetly smitten. I read all the books (how much I got of it is another thing), and I saw (and got!) all of the movie, and I do think they are all great ;D Here is a twist, both me and Rach were into LOTR at the same time. I got her into that. Then she returned me the favore and got me into the Beates. Just a fun little fact there

LotR RULES.
My two favorites are Gandalf and Sam. Gandalf is simply amazing, and Sam is just the sweetest thing ever. <3333. Merry and Pippin are very much tied for second favorites.

mmm, Jo, you may have made a mistake in starting this thread. I am an LotR FREAK. you have been warned XD
LotR is one of the best books I have ever read!!! My favourite character is Eowyn. I love the part where she faces the Witch King in RotK 'begone if you be not deathless..." WOW. woOt GIRL POWER!! Aragorn is my second favourite and Gandalf is my third. I cried at the corornation and when Aragorn and Arwen were reunited...ok, I know I'm weird XD
and the movies totally rock! RotK is by far my favourite XDXD I I got the 12-disc extended editions XDXD ...heaven... XDXD hours after freaking hours of special features (other movies pale in comparison!!they put just a stupid trailer!!) and the extended movies rawk (RotK: extra 42 minutes, TT: extra 40 minutes, FotR: extra 30 minutes)
oh wow ;D -melts in a fangirl puddle-

Rusty, I have the 12-disc set too! Have you watched them all with cast commentary? I've watched them all that way, and it's sucha blast! Totally agree with you - three of the best movies ever.

I can't stop laughing just remembering those commentaries. btw I just lurve Elija's laugh XDXD I've only read LotR three times but its 1,000 freaking pages XD. have you read the appendices? The history of Numenor is so interesting....Tolkien was such a Genius...and the tale of Aragorn and Arwen is so beautiful XD. Silmarillion rox. I love the tale of Luthien Tinuviel and Beren. When Tolkien died, he wrote on his tombstone 'Beren' and on his wife's she wrote 'Luthien'... that's so sweet... ok, I warned you all. I AM totally obsessed. XD EDIT: omg, I didn't even spell Tolkien correctly. shock horror. ok, I'm over it XD
