I think this deserves its own thread! This is the place to ramble about how fabulous it was! I sent messages to all my friends, saying "Both the first AND last songs were Beatles songs. What does that tell you? They ARE legends, and my taste is far superior to yours! Didn't see Hilary Duff there, did you?" Haha I love to tell them how wrong they are in their Beatle- hating-osity. Anyhoo.... I fell asleep, so I only saw about four hours of it, but they're going to replay it at a more civillised hour in the next few days. What did you think about it?

Wanna know why he's my idol ? Just watch it. He was so much better than at SuperBowl It was 10-11 hours between his first and last performance but I've waited It was really worth waiting I've realised that he sang 6 songs - Sgt. Pepper's at the beginning , then after so many hours - Get back, Drive my car, Helter Skelter, The long and winding road and refrain of HEY JUDE Everyone was singin it I was singing with them I've also loved the Pink Floyd performance - it was really amazing , I was singing "Comfortably Numb" with them : ) Green Day kicked ass too ! It was awesome : ) I'm so glad that I've recorded it DVD's gonna be expensive

There's a thread in Paul's folder too, I'll say the same thing here. He was AMAZING.
So was everyone. Pink Floyd were... OMGSQUEEEEEEEEE!!! I just wish that the VJs on VH1 didn't find it necessary to interrupt the end of "Comfortably Numb". GRRRRR.

I only saw Paul and U2 playing Sgt. Pepper. I didn't think he sang very well, but I didn't get to see him sing any thing else so I don't know for sure.
I wish I hadn't missed Pink Floyd, now XD

Live 8 = AWESOME!
I'm assuming I'm not the only Floyd fan on here- who was uber excited as I was for them getting back together? Not to mention what a fabulous job they did!
Though I really want to kill MTV for cutting The Who off right at the moment that Roger Daltrey let out his famous scream in "Won't Get Fooled Again." That was uncalled for. Show Green Day five gazillion times...but cut off the Who...
I'm also depressed because I missed the beginning with Paul and Bono. But I loved the end. Na na na na...Hey Jude... Reminds me of when I saw Paul at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 2002 and everyone sang along to Hey Jude.

oh yeah, it was cute Have u heard Craig David's and some lady's cover of "Come together" ? it was teh worst ... Ugh, I KNOW!! It was Tina Arena, and just because she's australian, cahnnel nine felt the need to play it OVER AND OVER AND OVER. It was so bad, they played that like three times nad only played one pink floyd song!!

Oh wait girlies I have heard Craig davids version of come together. I liked it if he sang it alone...i don't like that Tina Arena girl.
I seem to like a lot of different music styles, so i did like this version, though the original is best ofcourse. NO ONE can beat that

Heh, I stayed up for the whole thing. Paul was, as I expected, awesome. As were a few others. But I couldn't believe how much crap there was. Craig Davids rendition of Come Together was terrible, as was Pete Doherty attempting to sing Children of the Revelution (funnily enough, he has now blamed this performance on Bobs daugher *read here.) I just didn't think there was as many great bands this time around. All in all a fun excuse to stay up all night though.
